Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the Corporation Tax team providing advice and reviewing complex/high-risk areas for a range of client types including large group international organisations, ltd companies and some listed clients.
  • Carrying out technical research to check the tax treatment of one-off transactions, R&D, CIR, capital allowances and group interactions.
  • Supporting different teams across the Galloways group with corporate tax queries.
  • Maintaining and developing professional relationships with clients and managing work flow.
  • Reviewing compliance work drafted by junior colleagues

Requirements

  • Ideally CTA/ACA qualified or a finalist with circa four years’ of experience in accounting and tax in an accountancy firm.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Awareness of contentious tax issues and ability to identify risks for complex clients.
  • Exposure to large and high-risk level clients is essential.
  • Experience on IRIS would be highly desirable.
