Emma went straight from college into accountancy and has never looked back, qualifying as a Chartered accountant in 2008. Emma became a Partner at Plummer Parsons in 2024 and a partner of the Galloways partnership in 2025, when the firm joined the group.
Located in the Eastbourne office, Emma works with a diverse portfolio of owner managed clients in a broad range of industries, Emma’s passion lies in helping the numbers make sense to her clients. Accounts for compliance is a necessity but understanding the story the accounts are telling you is key.
Emma has a particular interest in assisting start-up businesses. Helping them to navigate their compliance needs, which can often be daunting when you are just starting out. With first-hand experience of work by day and books at night that many start-ups find themselves managing, Emma can relate to the challenges this brings, offering guidance on when it is time to outsource or use the vast range of software available in the market to make record keeping feel less of a chore.

Steve works for a variety of commercial clients, drawing upon his experience in a wide range of sectors and industries to ensure that his service is carried out in a constructive, practical and valuable way. Steve directs and tailors any audit process specifically for each client, making sure that the value and focus of audit are amplified.
This approach is rather different than many have experienced, the seemingly endless form-filling and questionnaires are disposed of and replaced by a sincere interest in the business, which places him in the best position to be a ‘real asset’ to his clients.
Steve also acts for several professional firms and has advised them on a wide variety of matters ranging from compliance issues to detailed tax planning.
Steve has worked in Sussex for most of his career, qualifying in 2000 and being a principal in a local firm since 2008. Steve joined Galloways in 2025.
Steve is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a member of the ICAEW Audit faculty and the ICAEW Solicitors’ Interest Group.

Chris has been advising and assisting clients for over 35 years having previously been a Partner of Plummer Parsons heading up the Eastbourne Office.
He works with a diverse portfolio of business and personal tax clients across many sectors as well as acting for a number of commercial property and property management businesses in London and the South-East.
He provides day to day support with pragmatic advice and an informal approach using his years of experience in the industry. Chris likes getting to know and understand clients and their businesses and working with them to achieve their financial objectives and is always available to meet and chat through ideas and concerns.
